Gardner White Furniture - False Advertising Tactics - Home Depot Gift Card
Purchase $1500 worth on furniture on 6/7. When I asked about the Home Depot gift card I was told that the offer was for no sales tax OR a $50 Home Depot gift card.
I went home and got online and reread the ad as well as sat through 2 commercials. I called the Canton store where I made my purchase and spoke to the store manager Wesley, who then informed me that โthe ad clearly states see a store associate for detailsโ, which it does; but none the less the store associate did not inform me of these options and when I inquired with her she informed me the gift card would only be for $50 not the $100 that the add CLEARLY states. Another disturbing factor was the โhigh fiveโ my salesperson gave her partner when I agreed to purchase the furniture. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
If I hadnโt been searching for the perfect fit for my home I would not have gone through with the sale, although I am still considering cancelling and going elsewhere. I have never felt more โduped and taken advantage ofโ as I was with my transaction at Gardner White and based on what I have read there are many others that have had the same experience.
Rethinking my purchaseโฆ.
Monetary Loss: $100.
