Sick of getting bombarded by ads from a place I'll never set foot in again
Is it just me or is this Rachel lady a bit full of herself? 99% of their ads just show her face with her lips flapping.
I thought this was a furniture store? Where is the furniture. Just got an ad in the mail and the whole front page is her face. Apparently, nobody ever told her to quit staring at herself in the mirror.
And her voice? OMG, annoying!!! Keep the commercials to the pros not the wanna be sofa *** She just has zero sincerity and acts more like a lying politician than a owner of a furniture store. Nobody's buying that fake perma grin smile.
As for the couch and loveseat you sold me they are P.O.S.!!!
You already had to replace the whole sofa a week after delivery and the 2nd one hurts my back so bad, I can't sit in it. These i had to get after you lied to me for 6 months about when my back ordered sectional would be in.
I will never buy from Gardner White again. Their furniture is absolute garbage and they lie through their teeth to get a sale.
User's recommendation: Go any place else. There's zero quality here.

Verified ReviewerMattress Pledge not revealed in sale!
BUYER BEWARE! Not honest!
My hubby loved a bed, but I was waffling. The salesman said there was absolutely no risk and that if I didnt like the bed, we could return it. He said hed advise giving it 30 days just like a new pair of shoes. He handed us a folder with paperwork which I looked over!
Their 6 month guarantee (called their pledge) is not listed on the contract it is on the back of the folder where you would never look!!! You are required to keep a bed for 60 days before returning it, you must pay $199 processing fee as well as a 10% handling fee, you must exchange it for another mattress and you will not be refunded the difference!! You also cannot return an adjustable base! If we had known this, we would not have made this purchase!
We would have shopped around more. Our temperapedic bed feels nothing like the floor model, and Ive gotten very little sleep for the last 30 days!!
Secondly, their cooling mattress protector is not felt through sheets and sheets DO NOT stay on with it! They slip off with any movement!
We will never buy from this company ever again!! Of course I was told that mattress protectors were not returnable!
I am so blown away by how deceptive our salesman was, and how the company couldnt go against their pledge even though the pledge was never shared with us and misrepresented information was shared instead!
- Deceptive sale - pledge info hidden on back of folder
User's recommendation: Do not shop here!!

Verified Reviewer | Brighton, MichiganResolved: Was told I would receive white gloves service. Ha! Anything but, with delivery. First they delivered the wrong mattress they claimed. Took all the junk from their truck and put it in my dumpster,
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They acknowledged the horrible experience and apologized.
I agreed to close the issue when they told me there were many more complaints from other customers and the team was let go. I agreed on $150 in Visa gift card.
Not one I'm sorry. No uniform or name tag or company name on the truck to prove who they were. They come back to my home and start pounding on the door saying I knew I had the wrong mattress. Not true my email receipt showed I had a correct one.
They pounded on my door refusing to leave screaming to be let in. I live alone mind you. Finally I had to call the police because the drivers refused to leave. After supervising them exchanging the mattress and I went in another room, they left.
I felt threatened due to them acting so unprofessional!!
I would give back the mattress but they had already removed mine and through it away remember one thing.. when your on the job don't act threatening when it was your mistake to begin with
User's recommendation: Don't ever buy from them
What happened to customer service.
I would like to share my disappointing experience with Gardner White and the warranty they sold me on my purchase through FCP. On February 5th, 2024, I contacted FCP about an issue with my couch where one side was rubbing and making a clunking noise when it moved.
On February 6th, they asked me to upload photos of the issue. On February 9th, I scheduled an appointment for a repair technician to come out on March 14th, 2024.
When the technician arrived on March 14th, they determined that a new complete mechanism was needed. In March, I received an email from FCP stating that they had ordered the wrong part and it would take 12-16 weeks to receive the correct one. On June 13th, 2024, the correct part was delivered to my house, and I had to call to schedule an appointment for installation.
On July 15th, 2024, the technician came to my house and after inspecting the couch, informed me that it was not the mechanism causing the issue.
He recommended replacing the seat and getting a new handle. He also mentioned that he would recommend replacing the couch entirely, but that decision was not up to him.
On the same day, July 15th, I went to Gardner White, where I purchased the couch, and spoke to a manager. I put down $100 to secure the 30% off sale in case I needed to pay a difference for a new couch. On July 17th, I called the store to inquire about any updates from FCP and was told to call back on July 19th.
On July 19th, I called the store and was directed to call FCP.
I spoke to someone at FCP who initially stated that they had no record of a technician visiting my house on July 15th. After requesting them to double-check, they mentioned that the report was not ready and asked me to call back on either July 22nd or July 23rd.
I called again on July 22nd and received an email from FCP stating that they had ordered another part, which would take another 12-16 weeks to arrive. When I asked about the possibility of receiving the wrong part again, the representative mentioned that they would simply order another one, resulting in another 12-16 week wait.
On July 22nd, I also called the Gardner White corporate number and left my name and number. After calling several more times and leaving my information, I received a call back on July 23rd.
The person I spoke to seemed indifferent and stated that it was not a Gardner White issue. They suggested that I go to the store to get my deposit back since Gardner White did not want my money.
On July 24th, I went to the store to retrieve my deposit and spoke to a manager about everything that had transpired.
Unfortunately, they did not offer any help or resolution beyond returning my deposit.
It has been an incredibly frustrating experience since February 2024, and now it seems like it may be late September or early October before the correct part arrives, assuming it is indeed the right one. I am extremely disappointed that Gardner White's customer service has been non-existent, with everyone pointing fingers instead of working towards a resolution.
User's recommendation: Don't take the extended warranty!
Horrible return policy
Bought a full family room of furniture.
12 hours After the White Glove delivery we called to let them know we wanted to exchange the furniture for non reclining.
Sure they said, for a mere 25% restocking fee($2,000.00). Is that even legal?
Shop elsewhere. Ohmama Jobama
User's recommendation: Never purchase anything from Garbage White
Piece of garbage
Follow up: the new furniture was delivered two days ago. The power sofa does not stop at a position you like.
The center council is not attached properly either. We paid for the White Glove delivery and set up.
Garbage White should be avoided at all cost. Run the other way youll be glad you did.

Verified Reviewer | Shelby Charter Township, MichiganCheap furniture
Bought a couch and had it delivered. Upon arrival, it was damaged.
I called and made a report; three weeks later, the broken couch sat in the living room. The service tech showed up and confirmed it was broken prior to delivery and stated this is common with this couch. Two weeks later, they picked up the broken couch. We tried to upgrade our purchase to a new couch to avoid the same problem.
GW would not allow an upgrade and a complete return of the couch; there was a 35% restocking fee. Make sure you ask about their return policy, people.
- Low price
- Poor quality furniture
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid Gardner White at all cost, all cheap made furniture.

Verified Reviewer | Oxford Charter Township, MichiganVery poor service
Brought out wrong mattress and base. They said the legs would adjust to any heights, which is a lie.
Tries to sell us different legs for a fee and would take 12 weeks to get them, Another lie. We cancelled order for legs, and they wouldn't reimburse our account unless we went to the store. Another lie. The service help were lazy and didn't even bring tools to assemble bed.
They used our tools and, they only lightly tightened bolts and didn't attach headboard, so we had to redo everything.
We've never been treated so badly. We will never shop there again.
User's recommendation: Never shop there

Verified Buyer | Ann Arbor, MichiganQuite deceitful. Free delivery isn't free. They have a "White Glove delivery". This cost$150. I wasn't informed of this by the salesperson.
I couldn't get the full price adjustment with the new sale price, putting me out $100. Again, initially, I was told by my salesperson that I was going to get free delivery with my mattress purchase.
I called 'HQ' - no regional manager. Finally, the last excuse they gave me was that I already got an adjustment.

Verified Reviewer | Canton, MichiganPredatory methods by GW and Synchrony Bank
I posted this review on all social media channels, BBB, and numerous other review sites, and I will encourage my hundreds of contacts to do the same: I will never again purchase any furniture from Gardner White, and I will make everyone aware of the predatory tactics they employ along with Synchrony Bank. I've been scammed by both Synchrony Bank and Gardner White.
I bought my furniture a year ago, and the salesperson stated that I was getting two years of interest-free payments. It turns out that it was a one-year promotion that ended in April 2024, so they charged me 34.99% interest retroactively from the original purchase date, amounting to a total of $1600 in interest alone. This is entirely unacceptable.
Gardner White and Synchrony Bank prey on families, running a massive scam with furniture that isn't even worth the price we pay! Synchrony Bank is bad news.
- Blasting media compaigns
- Hidden predatory methods
Preferred solution: Waive the predatory interest by Synchrony Bank, then I will pay the original purchase price minus my monthly payments.
User's recommendation: Do not buy any thing from GW
Was sold a warranty with the understanding it would cover everything including accidental tears or stains. After submitting my warranty claim it was denied because it doesn't cover normal wear and tea
Let the company follow in the footsteps of art van and go bankrupt. Garbage furniture and even worse customer service
User's recommendation: Go anywhere else
Egg chair quality
Don't buy them cool looking Egg Chairs by the front doors! Bought 2 for $530 each and had them in my house since then.
All went good till today. The man I called and spoke to a few days ago- told me they won't rust or mildew being outside on the patio slab or in the lawn (not in the rain) in the summer! That's where they went! Now- less than a week of dry weather- the metal frames rusted on all the welds.
The rep on the phone today- said they don't cover that and she can't help me! > I'd have been better off with the ones at the other store for $99 each- and hang them in the tree when the frames go bad! CS stinks and it's obviously all about the sales. I did plan to buy another set but NOT now.
I'll go cheap and save the extra money since quality means nothing at GW! > saginaw MI store
User's recommendation: Go cheap else where because your furniture wont last

Verified Reviewer | Warren, MichiganCan't return mattresses
My mom was told there is a $200.00 fee to 'exchange' the bed she purchased, although she was encouraged to try it for 60 days.

Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Stand at the register and read that long @** 7 page receipt so you won't be surprised.
Non satisfaction
We bought our sofa for about $2000, and it is made from cloth. However, just seven months later, small black balls are appearing on the sofa.
On the other hand, it is not that comfortable while sitting. I believe if they are selling something at a high price, we should be satisfied with the value for money. When we visited their store, all I heard was an apology from customer service, saying that these drawbacks of their product were not communicated upfront.
It feels like we are paying a bundle of money for zero satisfaction from the product. I am not going to visit their store again in my lifetime, that's for sure.
- No pros
- No hearing for customer
- Bad fabric used
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: Pls do not buy any thing from novi outlet , no customer satisfaction it’s consider
They delivered the wrong recliner.
Purchased a recliner from Gardner-White in Sterling Heights, MI. They delivered the wrong color.
After talking with the salesman, customer service and corporate office, the bottom line is return it and pay a 25% restocking fee or keep the wrong recliner.
In over 35 years in customer service I've never seen a sales enterprise argue and make more excuses (my eyes aren't seeing it right, the lighting in my living room is different from the showroom - which could be valid - you decide).
Here are two photos.
One of the brown recliner, in the showroom, that I ordered, the other, what I got.
I'm sure there are many customers that have positive experiences with this furniture retailer. I thought I would, but unfortunately, I can only report that their efforts to deliver on what I ordered have fallen way short.
Arguing with your customers was a whole new experience for me.
Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time...and I'm stuck with a recliner that I did not order.
User's recommendation: Avoid
Ripped off!!!
Purchased furniture returned it and still had to pay 622.00 and no furniture.
Have to pay for a maintenance program and don't even have the furniture.
Cost of furniture was around 1300.00 and I owe 622.40 and have nothing.
It's like legalized steeling
User's recommendation: Stay away. Never was explained the cost of returning.

I had the same thing happen. You have to deal with FCP directly, not Garner White. I was able to call FCP and request a callback from a supervisor
